UKVI's credibility interview is a structured 10–15 minute call. The officer reads your Academic SOP in front of you and asks you to verbalise each paragraph. If your answers don't match the document, the application is refused under paragraph 320(7A).
Recommended 7-paragraph structure: 1. Academic background (with grades and institution). 2. Why this course (with module names). 3. Why this UK university (with faculty/research group). 4. Why the UK (vs your home country and other destinations). 5. Funding (sponsor name, relationship, amount, source of funds). 6. Post-study plan in home country (employer category, salary band). 7. Compliance statement (attendance, no-recourse-to-public-funds, return intent).
Word count: 500–800. Avoid bullet points — UKVI prefers prose. Submit alongside your CAS, financial evidence, and ATAS certificate if required.
